I'm really just excited to play Victoria on Small Continents. My problem with canals is that they only cover 1 tile, they should cover from 1 to 3 tiles. Covering three tiles is exactly what the panama canal can do. Plus, if a city is one tile off of a body of water a three tile waterway can be made from coast to city to another coast or lake. I'd say the most macro thing to realize going up to Emperor is that Civ 6 rewards chasing your victory very narrowly. There's no sense trying to create a diverse and robust empire that can do anything decently well, limited tiles, district slots, and long production times means that you should decide how you're going to win early on …First post.
