Go to a straight road, turn off your vehicle, turn back on, go straight without turning the steering wheel for 100 feet, the vdc will reset and turn the lights off. Tried disconnecting the battery, the whole drive straight thing, brake pads, rotors, fluid has all been done recently. Starter, battery, alternator all tested good, starts and runs just fine as if the lights weren’t on. Tran fluid is good, 4WD works.But from what I've read the VDC/Slip light can illuminate and mine did. To make things simple I replaced the entire assembly, 2004-2015 Nissan TITAN MultiFunction Swith with Clockspring & Angle Sensor 25560-9FD8A | Coulter Nissan Parts. 2004-2015 Nissan TITAN part # 25560-9FD8A - MultiFunction Swith with Clockspring & Angle Sensor.The reset procedure in my manual says to start the vehicle with the wheels straight, then drive in a straight line, not exceeding 10mph. It works and resets the lights within 100ft. That said my Xterra has now had the steering angle sensor replaced for a third time. When I reattached it, the VDC off light is on and won't turn off when I keep pressing the VDC button. i just recently purchased a 2005 xterra off road, after driving for 5 miles or so the diff lock will turn on, then shuts off and at that point the abs light turns on as does the slip light. the vdc doesnt respond. diff lock button is not hit vdc button doesnt respond. any input would be greatly appreciated. i am new to xterra problems and nissan as well. …What we do in life.....All sorts of stuff.Replaced my cam shaft position sensor on both banks today. Ok. It sounds like there is either a problem with one of the cam sensors or the crank sensor. If you have a problem or code for either of these sensors, it will cause the symptoms you have and also the VDC will be disabled.
