I already installed overhead monitor that has its own speakers which is currently working fine but it does not have built in dvd disc player . I bought Mitsubishi in dash oem blu ray player ( only one eject button ) which usually comes with top trims. Look like it can only be operated using 8.4 inch uconnect screen .

The overhead DVD player changed to Bluetooth headphones in 2019 or 2020 (not sure which), but a 2018 would definitely still use IR headphones if the overhead DVD player was installed at the factory.
