Corrupting it to 15 still means your authority is 20, it's just corrupted up to 15. The very first corrupted perk in any attritibute is based on how corrupted that attribute is, but that is the only instance where the actual corruption value matters. It doesn't affect the scaling of the base, uncorrupted attribute at all. Used soul drained items to corrupt attributes on a character. Used 15 - 20 corruption points. Server then reset my attributes for “being too high for my level” when the character is level 60, the maximum level. Repeated the process and it happened again. Wasted almost 60 soul essences.
