I have recently had issues with the hotend being slow to heat and PID tuning fails consistently. Although the hotend will reach the desired temperature, it gets there extremely slowly. When PID tuning it reaches the temperature, but when it drops and then tries to reheat the temperature continues to fall and thermal runaway protection kicks in.
