The cartridges contain liquid flavors and are inserted into a chamber in the bottle’s lid. Seems I'm kinda lucky when it's come to my bottles. None have had "leak" issues (nor "stuck" issues) that I occasionally see on some review sites and such. Currently been drinking from 3 different bottles and all of them work fine. ADMIN MOD.
