You can also open the bleeder screw -- to let any air out. It is a black PLASTIC screw next to the primer pump. Be caredul tightening it back up --it can break. Replace ECM. Symptoms worsen. Engine is hard to start, hesitates, blows white smoke, and is only making 2000-3000psi of fuel pressure all without throwing a code. Got some codes and ended up pulling the turbo and giving the vanes a good deep clean, put it back together and they were nice and smooth. I still had the codes so I swapped the VPS and the solenoid with known good ones.
