Love the Ruger Security 9, but the last two times at the range, the gun failed to hold open on last round, with both magazines. I havent looked at it since, but was wondering if anyone had any similar issues. Mk II, Wrangler, LCPII .22 LR, EC9S, Security 9, P-85, RAR .17 HMR + .22 LR, + 10/22 Sporter. Here's what my Sec 9 is eatin now w/o fail. From left to right, GECO 115gr TMJ which caused the initial failures, 115 gr LRN reloads, 125 gr coated cone (loves these) reloads, Hornady +P 124 gr XTP for carry.The Pro is a medium service-size pistol with a 15+1-round capacity in 9mm. Security 9 Magazine Issues. I purchased the Security 9 a month or two ago. The firearm itself has worked great for me, no issues with any ammo I have tried (Sellier & Bellot, Blazer Brass, Winchester White Box, American Eagle, hand loads). However, the magazines have been giving me quite a bit of trouble.
