It's the second hardest hitting melee in the mod, and the strongest True Melee in the mod. Murasama is just as good as it used to be in a relative sense. Say a boss had 100,000 hp and Murasama did 30,000 damage. Now that boss has 10,000 hp and Murasama deals 3,000 damage. Night's Edge is a good sword, but the real reason to craft it is that it's used to make a even better sword later in the game (which in turn leads to a third sword which very powerful and only beaten by end game items).
