Tivo remote not working with new batteries.

Just recently, my Tivo 4K remote will no longer control my TCL Roku TV volume / power controls. I have reset both the Tivo and remove, moved the Tivo to another HDMI port, changed the batteries and it will still not control the volume or power. When I try to re-pair it does work but about 30 seconds later it no longer controls it anymore. If they are positioned correctly, you may need new batteries.
